I'm finally blogging along

Hopefully I will post works done or in progress with my thoughts as often as possible.

Writing is not my forte so hang in there. I also hope to post thoughts about art in general and pastel and watercolor especially as I encounter students struggles and frustrations. Many find themselves in the same boat and possibly something might prove useful. Ya never know.

This painting of my first grandson was done when he was about two years old. Something caught his attention and I couldn't resist the expression on his face. Such curosity! I started working on the painting and as it was rather late decided to finish in the morning. Something happened during the night because when I looked at the painting - voila! It was done. It often pays to walk away before you think you're done, because often...you are and don't know it!
